Join us for 10 days observing and photographing Natures Greatest Spectacle.

This safari is what you imagine a safari to be, expansive grasslands teeming with Wildebeest, Zebra and the predators waiting in the grass to bring them down.

From early February to mid March the plains of the Serengeti are the scene for the birth of over 400 000 wildebeest calves and we will be witnesses to this amazing happening. Along with the births of the calves will come the predators, making this time of year the best to witness the predator interaction that has been made famous by so many wildlife documentaries.

Itinerary

Day 1 ( Ubuntu Migration Camp )

We will transfer from our hotel to Kilimanjaro International airport for our short flight into the Serengeti. On arrival at Lamai airstrip, we will be met by our guide who will be with us for the duration of our stay at Ubuntu Migration camp. He will transfer us to the camp in the game viewing vehicle. We will arrive at the camp in time for a hearty lunch. As it cools down, we will head out on our first drive. Our safari starts here.

Day 2 - 5 ( Ubuntu Migration Camp )

Early morning starts are the order of the day while at Ubuntu Migration camp. We will head out daily in search of the predators as early mornings offer the peak activity of the big cats. We will spend most of the day in search of the most amazing wildlife encounters of which this area offers plenty. Lions, Cheetah and Leopard call this area home. You may also be lucky enough to spot the elusive Serval or even the endangered African Wild Dog.

Day 5 ( Olakira Migration Camp )

After a final morning game drive and a hearty breakfast, we will bid fare well to Ubuntu Migration Camp and head to the airstrip for a short flight to our next destination, Olakira Migration Camp. We will be met at Kogatende airstrip by our guide from Olakira Migration camp. We  will arrive at the camp in time for a hearty lunch. After lunch we will head out on our first game drive in this magnificent area.

Day 6 - 10 ( Olakira Migration Camp )

Mornings will start early as we leave camp before sunrise. Ndutu offers some of Africa’s best lion, cheetah and general predator viewing. The wildebeest herds will give birth to over 400 000 calves within a short space of time, and this spectacle offers an opportunity to see action-packed interactions between predator and prey. We’ll take a packed breakfast with us every day, and on most days even have lunch in the field. Each day will see us back in camp at sunset. We will enjoy drinks together followed by a delicious dinner and a good night’s rest.

Day 10 ( Departure )

Today is our last day in the Serengeti. Following a short drive we will head back to camp. After breakfast we will head to the airstrip for our flight back to Arusha in time for your connecting flights home. You will take with unforgettable memories of your safari in the Serengeti.
